Also called Rock Crystal, is pure silica without any inclusions. All other varieties of Quartz, such as purple Amethyst, yellow Citrine or pink Rose Quartz get their color because of tiny inclusions in the silica. Quartz is one of the most abundant minerals on earth, but good quality Clear Quartz is relatively rare.
